Autumnal Eqoinox

WOW!!! It's fall already. We've had a mild summer and I can't believe it's already over. Let's take a look at how productive our summer was.......

The "old porch" I was going to clean up, paint and turn it into a cool outside play area.
Too bad it's still piled with the stuff for the yard sale I didn't have.

The red primered steel frame of our porch that I was going to paint and the wood porch that I was going to restain. At least I got some flowers to grow. Happy Fall!!

Bring It update

O.K. so I wasn't really going to home school Samantha because she told me to "Bring it". I was however blaming those "little punk girls" in 1st grade. Well yesterday the kids were watching their Junior's Giants DVD (a super cute religious cartoon) and guess what Junior's friend says. You guessed it he says "Bring it" 2 or 3 times throughout the movie. Now don't I feel dumb, turns out the girls in 1st grade aren't punks and religious movies are to blame. Who'd have thought!?!

A strong argument for home school.....

A few weeks ago, after a long frustrating Saturday, I was at the end of my patience. Samantha had a snotty comment for me so I told her that if she couldn't talk nice to me I was going to start smacking her (idle threat). Her response,"Bring it!" I was shocked. Lucky for her I didn't "bring it" I just laughed. The things one can learn in 1st grade!!
