Poor Patrick

Last week the kids got to see a magic show at the library.
Patrick can't stop talking about how the magician drew a bird on a balloon, dropped it off a table and a dove came out.

He's been trying to reenact the trick all night.

He's wiggled his fingers every way he can think of.

He's dropped the balloon off the table fast and slow.

In the end he has a popped balloon. At least he isn't in tears.

Meteor Crater

Today we took a trip to Meteor Crater.
We drive by every time we go to Flagstaff and we FINALLY stopped.
It was so hot but we had a great time.

This is a replica of the Apollo capsule
After Meteor Crater we went to Flagstaff and ate at Red Lobster.
Samantha has been begging to go there but I'm not a sea food person. Dale promised they'd had have chicken (& it was supper yummy) so we went.
It was a fun day and the kids are already asking to go back!

Dot's Duds

Our sweet Dotty is in heat so when she's inside she has to wear her undies. As you can see, she loves them.
Who knew that a Boston Terrier could wear 2T boxer briefs?

Happy Father's Day

I think Dale had a good Father's day.
He got lots of one-of-a-kind art from the kids and a new pocket knife
(he dropped his old one in Lake Powell).
My Mom even made him this yummy German Chocolate cake.
I don't care if it is Father's day, this is Slack!!
Hope you enjoyed it!!!

Dinner Art

Last night at dinner Patrick made this lovely image of me with his taco salad.
It looks just like me I think.
Samantha had to join in the fun.
Not sure who this is.

Colin couldn't be left out so he made ????

Lake Powell

We had a great time at Lake Powell!!
Samantha loves jet ski rides.

We all had a wonderful time on our boat ride.

We even found an arch!

Dot enjoyed rolling around in the dirt with some new friends

Dale's attempt at a rope swing.

The boys spent their days digging and making pamcakes (not a typo Colin calls them pamcakes)

Samantha was either in the water swimming with Aunt Heather or following Heather around asking her to go swimming the whole time

Samantha was elated to win the giant glitter filled bounce ball.
(Thanks everyone!)

Samantha and Dale competed in a burping contest. They both took second. I'm so proud!

The house boat

On Our Way to the Lake

We had to pick up the house boat early Monday morning so we met everyone in Blanding on Sunday. It was nice to not have to rush!

We drove through Monument Valley
We also saw Mexican Hat

We stopped at Gooseneck National Park. The first thing Patrick said was," If I had a parachute and my swim suit I'd be set". Later he thought he better have his life jacket too.

We saw a lot of lizards.

And what would a road trip be without a road-side pee?!
