My New Do

I love my new hairdo!!! I've been saying for years that I need someone who could just tell me what to do with my hair. I have finally found her. I got the tip from a waitress at one of our favorite restaurants. It took me 3 weeks to get in but it was so worth it. I am so excited to finally have cute hair. I love it, love it, love it!!!

Our Fun Weekend

We started our fun weekend out at about 4:30 A.M. on Friday. (That wasn't the fun part!!) We headed to Utah to spend a few days at Dale's sisters Becky's house. We got to Becky's house in time to drop off the dog, get back in the suburban, and drive to Heber City. There we met up with Dale's brother Alan and his family and we all got to ride on Thomas the Tank Engine. My kids were so excited. They had never ridden on a train, let only Thomas. The ride was short but it was so fun to be able to go with all the cousins.
After Thomas we all headed back to Becky's. Alan's family stayed the weekend there too so we could all hang out.
On Saturday we all got to go to Maddy's (the oldest girl cousin)birthday party. We went to a place called Color Me Mine where the kids each got to pick a ceramic something and paint it. Samantha got to sit at the "big girl table" with Maddy and her friends ( all 10 & 11 years old). She chose a kitty bowl to paint.
The boys sat at the "boy table" (all the rest of the cousins are boys). They each chose mugs with butterflies on them. I can't wait to see how they look after they are fired. I'm sure they will be very interesting!!

Here are all the cousins all dressed up after church. My kids had such a great time. I'm so glad Dale has such great sisters and brothers. Thanks guys we had a wonderful weekend!!!

A Big Day

Today was a big day here. Today was Samantha's last day of kindergarten. Samantha seems indifferent about this milestone but I am kind of freaking out! It seems like just yesterday was the first day and now she's done. In just a few months she'll be a big First Grader going to school all day. WOW!! She's had a great school year with Mrs. Davis and Miss Patsy and I know next year will be great too.

I found this on Samantha's bed a few days ago....

It says:
Dear Mom,
You are mean to me.
I don't like that.
I don't like being sent to my room.
I don't like picking up.
Samantha
I thought it was very thoughtful of her to frame it.

The New Window

Thank goodness for insurance!!!!! This lovley piece of glass would have cost us $320.00. I am so glad to have it fixed. We've been having talks about how throwing rocks is not choosing the right.

NAUGHTY NAUGHTY

This evening, as I was packing the kids backpacks for our trip to Tucson tomorrow and Dale was cooking dinner, Samantha and Patrick thought it would be a good idea to throw rocks. Unfortunately for Patrick, his rock hit the Suburban and completely shattered the back window. So much for our trip. How naughty!

The Kindergarten Field Trip

Today I helped out on the Kindergarten field trip. We went to the Show Low airport. We got to watch an airplane land.

The kids got to hold some fire fighting tools and try on some fire fighting gear at the air ports fire station.
Then the kids got to climb trough the hospitals airplane.

After spending the morning at the air port went back to school and ate lunch. It was a lot of fun.

These were the girls in my group. They were SOOO good!!

My Mother's Day Surprise

We just got home from the kids primary activity. The boys wouldn't let me leave so I got to help them make me some Mother's Day gifts. They all made a card, a coupon book, and some cookie flowers. I'll be very surprised on Sunday!!

Cinco de Mayo

Above: the chili pepper pinatas
Below: Colin, Brooklyn, Samantha, Caleb, & Patrick
We had a festive Cinco de Mayo. The kids and I made chili pepper pinatas. Then some friends come over for dinner. We eat Dale's shredded beef tacos, rice, salad, and cinnamon apple burritos for dessert. Yum!! After dinner all the kids opened their pinatas and played. It was so much fun!!

Colin the Contortionist

I just discovered that Colin can fold himself in half and touch the top of head with his toes. WOW!
